Our Story & Mission
How Britvex Advisory was founded, what drives us, and why over 1,200 UK businesses trust us with their finances — from day one to today.
The Story Behind Britvex Advisory
Britvex Advisory was born from a simple observation: too many UK businesses were being failed by their accountants — overcharged, underserved and kept in the dark about their own finances. We set out to change that.
Britvex Advisory was established in 2009 in London with a clear and ambitious purpose — to make genuinely expert, honest and accessible financial advice available to every business across the United Kingdom, regardless of size, sector or stage of growth.
Our founders — professionally qualified accountants and business advisors — had worked in large accounting firms and seen first-hand how small and medium businesses were routinely charged high fees for generic, reactive service. Clients were handed to junior staff, rarely heard from their accountant unless a deadline was looming, and almost never given proactive tax planning advice.
That experience became our founding principle: every client deserves a dedicated, qualified accountant who understands their business goals and works proactively to help them achieve those goals — not just file their returns.
Starting with a handful of clients in the City of London, Britvex grew steadily through recommendation and reputation. By 2015, we had expanded to serve over 500 clients across the UK. By 2020, we opened our Manchester office to serve clients in the North, and established our international back-office operations in Dubai, UAE, allowing us to provide round-the-clock support without compromising on UK-qualified oversight.
Today, Britvex Advisory serves over 1,200 businesses and individuals across the UK and internationally — from sole traders just starting out to established companies with complex international structures. Every single client, regardless of size, receives the same level of care, expertise and proactive advice that we committed to back in 2009.

Key Milestones in Our History
From a small London practice to a multi-office UK and international advisory firm — here is how Britvex grew, step by step.
The Values Behind Everything We Do
Integrity Above All
We tell our clients the truth — even when it is not what they want to hear. We never compromise on accuracy, and we never prioritise our fee over the right advice for our client. Honesty has been our reputation since 2009 and it remains our most important value.
Your Accountant, Not a Call Centre
Every client at Britvex has one dedicated, named, qualified accountant assigned to their account. You will always speak to the same person, who knows your business inside out — not a different agent every time you call.
Proactive, Not Reactive
We contact our clients about tax opportunities and compliance changes before deadlines arrive — not after. Our proactive planning approach has saved clients thousands of pounds in unnecessary tax payments each year.
Accessible to Everyone
From a sole trader with their first client to a group company with complex international structures — everyone deserves access to qualified financial advice. Our pricing is designed to make that a reality, not a luxury.

4 Costly Mistakes Businesses Make Without the Right Accountant
Choosing the Cheapest Option
Low-cost online-only accounting services often lack the depth of qualified advice needed to identify tax savings, prevent penalties or support business growth decisions.
Reactive Year-End Filing Only
Many businesses only speak to their accountant at year end. This means they miss year-round tax planning opportunities that could save significant sums legally and legitimately.
No Named Contact
Businesses using large corporate firms or online platforms are often passed between different staff members with no continuity — meaning critical context about their business is lost.
Ignoring International Obligations
UK businesses with overseas income, non-resident directors or international clients often unknowingly fail to meet HMRC’s reporting requirements, leading to avoidable penalties.
